Subject: Problem with POST with WWW clients using double proxies

We are having problem getting Mosaic and Lynx clients to use fill in forms when
connected via two proxies. The first proxy is used for caching, while the
second proxy is directly connected to the Internet. The current setup is:

Mosaic ---> caching proxy ---> firewall proxy ---> Internet

The caching server is CERN 3.0 running on HP-UX 9.01.
The firewall server is CERN 3.0 pre6 running on SunOS ???.

The problem is that any data entered into a fill-in form and then submitted
via POST to the proxy httpd either gets lost, or is never sent to the
destination server. The server that the POST is directed to always returns
an error indicating that no data was filled in on the form.

Does anyone have any idea what may be going on, or how to track down the
problem?

Have a nice day...

Will
